This site was a conversion of an existing design into a WordPress template. It uses Javascript, php, as well as custom MySQL fields and WordPress’s own Custom Field tags.
A lot of the code had to be reworked to make it compatible with the WordPress core, and was rather a long project. 90% of the graphics had to be remade as well, due to not fitting in with the page templates for the new WordPress layout.
I went with WordPress due to the ease of use when it is used as a CMS, both for myself and for the client.
Tenerife Dining
This site was commissioned by a client to promote Restaurants in Tenerife. Built from scratch, it uses a comprehensive MySQL backend and extensive jQuery and php coding to achieve dynamic results.
Visitors to the site can add their own Restaurant reviews, rate restaurants via an Ajax star rating sytem and also add Restaurants to the database that aren’t listed yet.
